MEET THE FOUNDER

Mathieu Gilbert is a successful executive with 20 years of experience in asset management, strategic consulting and leadership development. He is a recognized expert and thought leader in FX overlay and quantitative strategies.

Mathieu was the Head of Asset Management for Berenberg, a 400-year-old German financial institution based in Hamburg. In his position, he had the responsability of strategy and organisation of the division with an AUM by USD 22bln Bln with 65 people between Hamburg, Francfort, Vienna, London, Chicago, and Geneva.

Prior to joining Berenberg, Mathieu was the founder of the overlay business at Edmond de Rothschild in 2000, contributing to the successful growth of AUM from zero to USD 17.6 bln in 2016. He was Group CIO Quantitative Management & Overlay, Executive Comittee Member of EDRAM Global (AUM : $80 Bln) and EDRAM Suisse (50 people between Zürich and Geneva).
